UPDATING MIO November 19, 2010 Mobile I/O v.5.4.01 This release is compatible with PPC and Intel machines and requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 or newer. It includes all previous features, enhancements and bug fixes and adds numerous usability enhancements and fixes for potential issues. In addition, it adds support for IR Remote Control on ULN-8 and LIO-8 hardware, in-console registration and software licensing, and +DSP and Transient Controller demos. October 21, 2007 MIO Driver 2.2d208 This is a compatibilty release of the Mobile I/O CoreAudio Driver for use with Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard). It is also compatible with Mac OS 10.3.9 and newer on PPC machines, amd Mac OS 10.4.8 and newer on Intel machines. Please use this driver with the Console and firmware included in the Mobile I/O v.4 package below. This download contains only the updated driver. We strongly recommend that all users update to this version. Download the software as A ZIP archive for OS X (5.5 MB) November 7, 2006 Mobile I/O Package for use with All Macs This release package contains MIO Console 3.0pb38, Universal driver 2.2d94, and firmware 2.2.00 for use with Mac OS X 10.4.6 and newer on Intel-based Macs, or Mac OS X 10.3.9 and newer on PPC-based Macs. This version of MIO Console addresses and resolves a conflict between MIO Console and Intel based Macs that would lead to MIO Console meters freezing, a hang of the application during firmware updates, and possible loss of UI controls (like phantom power and input trim levels). It also provides a number of new features in the Record Panel. PowerPC computers must continue to use the 2.2d14 driver, available for download from the 2.2 release package below dated Sept 8, 2005. The firmware update contained within this package provides a general improvement in system stability for all Mobile I/O models, and we recommend that all customers update as soon as is convenient. It contains components for OS 9 and OS X. This package provides updates to the Console, Driver and Firmware for Mobile I/O. In OS X, this package Requires OS 10.2.6 or newer or OS 10.3. In addition to fixing a significant number of bugs, this update provides support for the second DSP of all +DSP units, and provides support for OS 10.3 (Panther). The OS X driver in this package removes a potential Kernel Panic issue that was present in Public Preview #1. In addition, the firmware in this package (v.1.4.27) appears to correct a long standing firmware problem that could lead to distorted audio on the digital I/O ports. This update is appropriate for all customers, and should be applied to all Mobile I/O models. It contains components for OS X only. This package provides updates to the Console, Driver and Firmware for Mobile I/O. In OS X, this package Requires OS 10.2.x or OS 10.3. This update is appropriate for all customers, and should be applied to all Mobile I/O models. Please note that the firmware in this package is not fully compatible with the current OS 9 driver. In addition to fixing a significant number of bugs, this update provides support for the second DSP of all +DSP units, and provides support for OS 10.3 (Panther). The driver in this package also makes significant improvements w.r.t. latency, record offset and compatibility with some popular DAW applications (notably Digital Performer 4.1). Download the package as A Compressed Disk Image for OS X only (8 MB) June 22, 2003 Mobile I/O Driver/Console/Firmware package v1.4.06 This package is an omnibus update for Mobile I/O 2882 and ULN-2. It contains components for both OS 9 and OS X. This package provides updates to the Console, Driver and Firmware for Mobile I/O. In OS X, this package Requires OS 10.2. This update is appropriate for all customers, and should be applied to all Mobile I/O models. In addition to fixing a significant number of bugs, this update provides a mechanism to update the firmware of the box from MIO Console in both OS 9 and OS X. This allows you to apply firmware updates in OS X without having to boot in OS 9. Please note that you cannot update the firmware using the old procedure. Please check the Appendix on updating firmware in the ULN-2 manual (included) for the new Firmware update procedure. Please note that you may have to copy the new .miofirmware file off of the disk image onto your hard drive to be able to select it in the console.
